勝って泣こうぜ！
皆さんこんにちは。日々の練習で日焼けしすぎたせいか、パソコンの顔認証がなかなか僕に気づきません。新三回生OL/LB＃54山本です。
昨年度コロナの影響で新入部員が少なかったため、新チームではみんなそれぞれ今までやっていたポジションに加えて、新しいポジションも練習することになりました。私はこれまで二年間LBをやっていたのですが、それに加えてOLの練習に取り組み始めました。LBとしては一般的な体重がある私ですが、OLの中にまざると完全に子供扱いです。20キロ前後体重が異なる相手にぶつかっていくため、体中が痛くなります。吹っ飛ばされてあちこちすりむいたり、もともと痛めていた肩のケガが悲鳴を上げることもあります。
また新しいポジションに挑戦する以上、肉体的な疲労に加えて、精神的な疲労が大きくなってきます。うまくいくことよりも失敗することのほうが圧倒的に多く、練習後につけているノートには課題ばかりが残っていきます。自分より大きい相手にコテンパンに負けて、もうダメだと考えてしまうことが何度もあります。ただ身も心も疲労が溜まった状態では、うまくいくものもうまくいかないし、せっかくの練習も効果が半減してしまいます。体のケアは食事や入浴、クリニックへ通うことなどで何とかやりくりしています。そして心のケアとして、本当につらくなったときは、音楽を聴いてモチベーションを上げることにしています。精神的にまいっていた自分を鼓舞してくれた曲は、T-pistonz＋KMCの「勝って泣こうぜ！」という曲でした。有名な超次元熱血サッカーアニメのオープニング曲の一つです。著作権が少し怖いので歌詞は書けないのですが、とてもざっくりいうと、「今やっているつらいことは決して無駄にはならない。今までやってきたことは今生きている。勝って泣こうぜ！」という感じです。とても有名な曲ではないかもしれませんが、今の私の状況にはドンピシャではまりました。そのアニメには他にもいくつかオープニングテーマがあるのですが、それらの曲も聞くことで元気を得ることができます。
練習を続けていく中でつらいことは間違いなく存在します。でも最後には試合で勝ってうれしい涙が流せると信じて、頑張っていこうと思います。ここまで読んでくださってありがとうございました。
